Forest Lodge guest feedback and reviews.

We have stopped putting feedback here as we have now had lots of reviews on other sites since we started and most people seem to use those for checking us out! We do stil ask all of our guests for feedback when they stay in case there is anything we can improve.

Mr S, Manchester, (Business)

I recently stayed at Forest Lodge for work. Unfortunately I was working fairly long hours but the hosts could not be more accommodating. The peaceful location is great for an undisturbed sleep while still being conveniently located.

My stay at Wimbledon was cheered by the kindness I found in the Forest Lodge.
The charming cottage, the comfortable room, the tasty breakfast are unforgettable.
I do hope to come back. The presence of the swimming pool is very important too.
The family atmosphere of the Forest Lodge made me appreciate even more the beginning of english springtime.

Mr & Mrs H ,Japan, (Holiday)

I stayed on my own at this brilliant B&B only recently and can highly recommend it! The duration of my stay was 7 nights and I felt great in each and every one of them. It is situated in a lovely and most beautiful neighborhood – quies, safe and very pleasat at all times. Easy to reach the Wimbledon Tube/railway station , from which a journey to central London is also very easy. The common is 2 minutes away from the house and it is so lovely to take long quiet walks in such a most beautiful and relaxing area.

For me , it felt like heaven! Sue and Peter the hosts are superb and knew how to make me at home and still I had all the privacy I needed. Great cooked fresh breakfast by Peter – the most perfect host I have ever met! The pool is also a great plus – I did not have the time to use it and I regret it…
Value for money – perfect! In summary – I highly recomment the Forest Lodge and I thank Peter and Sue for being such brilliant hosts.

Mr & Mrs S UK (Holiday)

We stayed 3 nights for Wimbledon, Peter is lovely he can’t do enough for you, his breakfast is stunning, I have never seen poached eggs look so pretty and I have stayed in a number of places and his eggs by the reviews made previously live up to them. Wimbledon itself is a 10 minute bus journey can be caught just up the road from the accomodation and are every 5-6 minutes up to midnight. The location is so quiet and I have to say safe to walk about late at night without concern, It was so nice after a hectic and tiring day to come back to such a quiet place. I cannot fault anything and will stay there each time we come to London even if it’s not for Wimbledon it is that lovely xx There is a also a swimming pool sadly we didn’t have time to have a dip but will next time xx The cakes are also lush and a lovely touch x

Mr & Mrs S & Family of 3, Australia (Holiday)

This was a lovely place to stay. Peter & Sue were very hospitable and our room was very comfortable.  The breakfast each morning was substantial and delicious and kept us going all day!  We enjoyed the extras such as cakes and biscuits and bottled water in the room.  Wimbledon is a lovely area and very safe – we felt confident walking from the bus stop at night, travelling around was easy.  We would recomment this B & B as a comfortable, value for money place to stay whilst visiting London

Here it is a very still area. Very nice here. The hosts are very friendly.

Ms M Oxfordshire (Business Trip)

Although essentially a business trip for me my stay at Forest Lodge felt like a mini holiday being able to swim each evening to de-stress was much appreciated as was the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, the cakes on the tea tray, the dressing gown in the room, Wi Fi availability and a charming host to boot!

November 2012

Mr & Mrs C & Family, Singapore (Holiday)

We recently stayed with Peter’s family in Dec 2012, together with our 3 young children. We enjoyed our stay very much. We woke up to carefully and deliciously prepared breakfasts every morning. Peter always stopped to have a friendly chat with us and gave tips and advice for our travel. He was also very accomodating to the requests for eggs done in a dozen ways! The children adored “Uncle Peter” and told us they loved Forest Lodge. The family room was comfortable and well-kept. We liked the selection of cookies, cakes, teas and hot chocolate which was provided. We liked the neighbourhood which was quiet, safe and convenient. We will definitely stay there again when we visit London.

December 2012

Mr M & Son (12) Canada (Vacation)

My son and I spent 9 days at the forest lodge b and b and we felt like it was a home away from home. From the warm inviting atomosphere, to the cosy rooms, to wonderful breakfast to the great swimming pool we felt so comfortable. Which is so important when travelling with children. The room was bright, spacious and clean. Peter and sue were so welcoming, warm and helpful that we never had cause for complaint. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a welcome change from the sterile enviroment of a hotel..top knotch!

  August 2012

Mr A Leicestershire (Business Trip)

A charming & friendly B+B with many nice touches such as: cakes, biscuits, Pool, papers to read, breakfast made to order, dressing gown, slippers.  I stay in hotels every week due to business so quality and comfort really matter.  It is rare to find such great service and many hotels could learn from Peter & Sue.  Friendly & welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable in their home.   Great value for money in Wimbledon & London Area. I will definitely come again.

Mr & Mrs F, Plus children 15 & 17 USA (Holiday)

Beds were so comfortable! The hot towel rack was heaven. We loved this place and Peter was wonderful!  Breakfasts were fantastic and kept us going all day.  The shower was really nice and everything was scrupiulously clean.  Thanks for everything.  Very quiet and lovely place to stay.  Would definitely recommend.

June 2012

Mr K & Ms K Merseyside UK (Wimbledon Tennis)

We stayed with Peter and Sue for two nights whilst visiting Wimbledon for the tennis. We had a lovely relaxing time. We were warmly welcomed and given great advice in terms of local places to eat – which we were really happy with. We only used to tube to get to Wimbledon Station and the rest of the time, we walked – to the restaurants and to watch the tennis. The area is perfectly safe and a pleasure to view!

I never sleep well when I am away from home but I slept soundly for the two nights we stayed! The house was so quiet, kept at the right temperature and you are armed with all you might need from wonderful hosts – from dressing gowns to maps to lotions and potions!

We had a swim while we were there and watched the tennis in the comfort of the pool! Great exercise was had, swimming against the jet!

The breakfast was varied and more than enough. Every desire was catered for.

Peter gave great advice and we spent a little time getting to know him better which all added to our overall enjoyment of our stay. We would happily return to Forest Lodge – definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed in London.

A credit to Peter and Sue 🙂

June 2013

Ms M ay)& Ms K, America (Holiday)

I stayed at the Forest Lodge B&B for a little under two weeks. I absolutely loved it. Peter and Sue were loads of help when it came to giving directions and recommendations on were to go. On the days they were absent JJ and Felicity were great hosts. They were really good with breakfast and showing us around. They went above and beyond on making our trip special. Breakfast was really good and at a decent time. And the location wasn’t bad at all. We got to explore more than just central London. Wimbledon is beautiful as well. Coming from America it was nice to stay in and see what a typical neighborhood in England would be like. I hope to return soon! xx

Best bed I have ever slept in (in London)

I regularly stay in and around London on business and had been staying for the previous 2 weeks in a London hotel. I can say without a doubt that I slept like a baby in the week that I spent there. The breakfasts were excellent and the service was very friendly and easy going. Thanks for a great stay, I will almost certainly be back. I should also mention the tasty treats left in the room along with some bottle of mineral water in a fridge, I have never had that in a B&B and was very impressed

Mr & Mrs C, Singapore (honeymoon)

It was our first trip to London (honeymoon) and it was great! My hubby and I flew to London one day after our wedding. We reached forest lodge around 7-8pm and were greeted by Peter. The first surprise we received was that they have upgraded our room to a family bedroom!!! Spacious and clean. Awesome and when we stepped into the room, Peter and Sue have prepared a small wedding gift for us-a horseshoe! Peter shared and helped us in planning our itinerary for the day as it was our first time in London. Breakfast was good (lots of varieties )and my hubby and I miss Bella and Nala. Would love to go back during summer one day 🙂
